Terms of Use – Safe 4 Talk

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Safe 4 Talk app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the app. Continued use of the platform after changes to the terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Eligibility

Safe 4 Talk is intended for people aged 13 or older. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent to use the platform. By creating an account, you confirm you meet the applicable age requirements.

3. Account Creation and Responsibilities

To use Safe 4 Talk, you must create an account providing accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• All activities carried out under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Keeping your profile information accurate and up to date

4. Permitted Use

Safe 4 Talk was built to facilitate language practice between users. You may use the platform to:

• Practice foreign languages through live conversations (audio and video)
• Interact respectfully and collaboratively with other users
• Join themed conversation rooms
• Give and receive feedback on pronunciation and fluency

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassing, intimidating, threatening or abusing other users
• Posting or sharing hate speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or any other characteristic
• Sending spam, unsolicited bulk messages or unauthorized advertising content
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Sharing illegal, obscene, defamatory content or content that violates third-party rights
• Using the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Attempting to access other users' systems, accounts or data without permission
• Using bots, automated scripts or any means that overloads the platform infrastructure
• Sharing explicit sexual content or content involving minors

6. Audio and Video Conversation Rooms

Safe 4 Talk offers real-time conversation rooms with audio and/or video. By joining these rooms:

• You agree to respect all other participants during sessions
• You acknowledge that sessions may be subject to moderation to ensure community safety
• You can report inappropriate behavior directly through the app
• Recording sessions by third parties without participant consent is prohibited
• Safe 4 Talk may act on abuse reports, including suspending or banning users

7. Intellectual Property

All Safe 4 Talk content — including logos, design, text, features and code — is the property of Safe 4 Talk or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you create, but grant Safe 4 Talk a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce and display that content for platform operational purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Safe 4 Talk is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safe 4 Talk shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform, including data loss, lost profits or damages resulting from interactions with other users.

10. Account Termination

You may close your account at any time through the app settings or by requesting deletion via email at safefortalk@gmail.com.

Safe 4 Talk reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use, without prior notice and at its sole discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. When significant changes are made, we will notify users through the app or registered email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
